Inventory across connected marketplaces

Create one product language

The same item can have different listing names across marketplaces. Assign one internal SKU to each sellable variation and map every marketplace listing back to that SKU. Record pack sizes and bundles separately so one bundle sale deducts the right quantity of each component.

Define what is actually available

On-hand stock is not always available stock. Separate quantities reserved for open orders, damaged units, and stock awaiting inspection. Decide how your team treats unpaid orders, cancellations, and returns. A consistent rule prevents different teams from making different adjustments.

Reconcile the physical count

Choose a regular counting schedule and investigate differences before adjusting balances. Record who changed a quantity, why it changed, and the supporting order or count reference. Fast-moving items may need more frequent checks than slow-moving products.

Connect carefully, then monitor

Test a small group of products before connecting the full catalogue. Place test orders, check cancellations, and verify bundle deductions. Keep an exception list for mismatched SKUs and failed updates, with a named person responsible for resolving each issue.
